I’m a London based artist specializing in both hand drawn and digital illustration. My work takes prominent influence from childhood nostalgias lived in Japan through the attention in colour and motifs, and is reminiscent of traditional and contemporary Japanese culture. This exploration is visually channelled through fragmented memories and my sentiment for Japanese cuisine, nature and old films I grew up watching. The characters I create primarily focus on the female form, and playfully embrace the bold yet ethereal side of femininity in a casually surreal way. My illustrations allow me to explore and navigate my identity as a woman of mixed Japanese heritage living in the UK.
